With all the changes in society during the last decade, traditional wedding etiquette has been affected as well. In the past, the bride and her family have assumed the majority of the wedding expenses. While many still like to try to stay within the basic perimeters that old-fashioned protocol has set, there are often circumstances that do not allow us to do that. Finances, second-marriages, the woman's new independent role are all factors in determining who foots the bills. Many couples are choosing to divide the cost between themselves and both sets of parents.

Below is a traditional expense list, however if you are opting for the idea of spreading the financial responsibilities out, feel free to share this list with your fiance, his parents and your parents so that together you can determine exactly "who is paying for what."
